Mine is Chutters in LIttleton. Gourmet malted milk balls. Mmmm.

  1. my favorite place because of its smell is my friend dannys house. no matter what time of year or what the weather is it always smells like the best place in world. after being out side and playing b-ball or causing trouble in town, there is nowhere else id rather be then his house. his mother is an awesome cook as well so when she gets near that stove the place smells ORGASMIC! then we get to eat the food and it makes us all happy. my favorite thing that she cooks that smells the best out of any thing is her cinnamon rolls with icing on the tops. i could be the worlds most hung over person and i would roll my a$$ out of bed to get one of them.

  2. One of my favorite places to be because of its smell is at my friend Danielle's house. It always smells like something.I am not exactly sure what it is but it smells this ways all the time. I think it might be their laundry soap actually, I am not sure, but I think it smells amazing! It is a very distinct smell, you can always tell who has been up to their house because they will leave smelling this way, too. I have known this girl since I was in the 1st grade and now we go to college together. That smell is something that I have since associated her and her family with because I have grown to know them so well.

  3. The Capital letter I in Littleton shouldn't be upper case. Does that count for the honor roll?

  4. My favorite place to be would be the North End of Boston. Growing up as a child I lived in Charlestown, Mass. My family would take the public bus there every Sunday and do most of our shopping there. I remember walking down the main street and smelling all the open stores. On one street you would smell the pizza, on another street you could smell the pastries of all kinds, and then if you went there during a festival you could smell all the italian food from miles away. When ever I pass by any bakery or italian resturant it brings back so many memories of my childood. My favorite smell was the Spagettie sauce that all the women would make and serve it with yummy garlic bread. If I shut my eyes I can still smell all of it.

  7. My favorite place to visit is not someones house but rather it is the top of the mountain, but not any mountain. I love the smell at the top of Jay Peak. The smell is just amazing and it seems different that any other smelt that i have smelt before. I love the mixture of scents from the pine trees, the cold and the fresh air. I love getting up early in the morning and grabbing my snowboard and heading to the mountain, but what i love more about heading to the mountain is that amazing smell that the top of the mountain has. Its just another amazing part of snowboarding.

  8. Spending the night at my mom’s house is the place for my favorite smell. She hangs her sheets outside and they always smell and feel so fresh and crisp. There is nothing like the smell of fresh air. In the current era with the convenience of electric dryers, I’m sorry to say that this chore is way to much work for me to do for myself. Of course then there is the bonus of the smell of mom’s Italian lasagna also. What can I say she spoils me! Isn’t that what moms are for?

  11. Go ahead, steal the shampoo!
Right before the semester started, my wife and I drove to Montreal and spent the weekend at a Hyatt hotel downtown. We had a good time. The hotel sits on top of a nice shopping center, the Complexe Desjardins. The hotel's restaurant serves a tasty breakfast buffet. We got to practice our wretched French. It was a nice weekend.
And we cleaned out the bathroom when we left: two bars of soap and small bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. All of the products had a similar scent -- essence of white ginger.
Now, any time we use the soap, shampoo or conditioner, we'll smell the white ginger and think of the pleasant weekend we had.
It's sort of like a scented advertisement for Hyatt. Conveniently, the hotel has the exclusive rights to those bath products. It WANTS you to steal the shampoo.

  12. I would have to say the place I love the smell the most would have to be between two places. One being my own back yard when my dad cuts the grass. Their is nothing that compares to that smell when it comes through my window. The other smell is the ocean. This past summer I lived with my Aunt and Uncle in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Its not just the smell either its how it makes you feel. Your skin becomes softer, you get a tan, and theres also always something to do.

  13. Dan...I have to agree with you about Chutters being my favorite place too...I Love Candy !!

But I would have to say that the one place that always comes to mind when I think of the smell that I love the most would have to be the mixed aroma of my house. The smell has always been a mixture of my father who smells of kerosene ( he is a plumbing and heating tech. ) and my mothers home cooking.

Everytime I am around other places that smell similar to that smell, it always reminds me of my parents. And for some reason, the smell has always been a compfort for me, and I would feel DISPLACED without it.

  14. The one place I miss the smell of the most is the ocean. I was born in Maine and the smell just brings back a flood of memory's. I wish I could bottle it up and bring it here with me ha.

  15. The place I find that smells the best is now a memory. Everyday for nine years I would go to my mother’s restaurant rain or shine. The sent of floor cleaner, the frialators and hundreds of different ingredients giving off their distinct fragrance gave the place a unique smell. When ever I would walk in my nose would tingle from the sent. It is one sent that no matter where I go I will never smell again.

  16. My favorite place because of its smell would be camping at Lake Carmi. Every night we would make a camp fire, I love the smell of the wood burning. There are plenty of other wonderful smells at Lake Carmi. I enjoy waking up in the morning after it has just rained all night, and smelling the rain.

  17. My favorite place to go because of its smell is a pizza place. When i first walk in the door, I smell the cooking of pizzas and the oil that my mozzarella sticks are being cooked in. I can't wait for every friday or saturday night that my family orders out to the place called Charlie's. I always want to go pick it up because I like the smell of the pizza place when I walk in the door.

  18. I have a couple different places that stick out for me. I love my mom's house because of the woodstove and smell of my dogs. The smell of a woodstove is just the best thing its like a hearty smell mixed with the smell of my clean dogs its just a very sentimental smelling experience Haha...My second favorite thing is the front yard of my dad's house that has a huge graden in the front filled with Lilies and its just an overpowering beautiful smell, plus lilies are my favorite flower and i love laying on the front lawn in late spring surrounded by the scent..My last smell is this friends house because she has 3 or 4 lilac trees along the backyard, and it is the most calming and peaceful scent I've ever experienced!!
